The SouthEast Regional Visualization and Analytics Center (SRVAC)

The SouthEast Regional Visualization and Analytics Center (SRVAC) is a collaboration between the Charlotte Visualization Center at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) and the Graphics, Visualization, and Usability Center (GVU) at Georgia Institute of Technology (GeorgiaTech).

SRVAC is one of five regional centers who, together with the national center (NVAC), perform research in the new field of visual analytics.

Visual Analytics

Visual Analytics is the science of analytical reasoning facilitated by interactive visual interfaces.

Mission

To develop and promote the science of visual analytics and to apply its precepts to grand challenge problems in homeland security.
